I'm posting about my personal and every day life in this LJ, so keep in consideration that I'm not going to add you back if you don't comment on this entry (or contact me in some kind of way) to let me know why you're adding me.

+ This is my personal journal, ALL my entries are locked so you can't read anything unless I add you back.

I've done a Friends Cut. I removed:

- People I don't interact with anymore (they don't post anymore and don't comment)
- People who post but we don't interact (either they don't comment on my posts, or I always find myself skipping their entries, or both)

It wasn't a major friends cut, but I still wanted to post about it.

I've done a pretty large friend cut.

I've removed people who I don't feel close to, basically people who either update a lot but rarelly comment, people who I have a hard time commenting on their LJ because I don't know what to say, or people I rarelly interact with, for whatever reason.

I don't really think it will be a problem for those who have been removed as in any case interaction haven't been bidirectional for the most part.

Also, if we're not friends anymore, can you remove me from your flist? There's 64 persons (!!!) who list me as a friend, even if I don't list them back. All my posts are private (except public announcements like this one) so you can't really read my LJ. Thanks.

Happy birthday [livejournal.com profile] method_acting! I hope you have a fantastic year!
Today is the day that the grades of the final exams are supposed to show up at the university website (tomorrow we can start signing up for the classes of the next semester, which starts at the end of February until the end of June). I say "supposed to", because the university website is broken. It has been broken all morning, and it's still broken now, at 3pm.

I know that it can happen and that the server is probably collapsed because everybody wants to see their grade (obviously), but what really bothers me is the fact that every semester we pay a lot of money to study at the university, and part of that money (150 euros to be exact) go to "online campus maintenance". With all the money they get (we're thousands and thousands of students at the university) you'd think that they have money to improve their servers. But no. Every time that there's some kind of event (grades being published, signing up for classes, first day of classes, etc) the online campus collapses, sometimes for days.

So I don't know when I'll be able to see my grade, as the only way to check it is online (before they were sending the grades on a text message on the phone for free if you requested it, but they cancelled that service). And I know in the big scheme of things is not a big deal, but considering how much we pay only for the online access (leaving aside for the classes), and the fact that I worked hard to pass the semester (most of us did), I find it very non respectful that this is a recurrent issue with them, especially in days like this, when people get nervous and they want to see how they did and if they'll have to take the class again or not.

I'll go to work with the old woman, and see if when I come back in the evening is solved. But I highly doubt it.

Happy birthday [livejournal.com profile] endlessblush! I believe that is already tomorrow in Australia, but it's still the 3rd in here, so I hope you have a wonderful day, and that the new year is going to bring you a bunch of awesome moments. Love you! <3

Happy belated birthday [livejournal.com profile] path124! I was on hiatus during your birthday, so I hope you had a wonderful day!

Today has actually felt a bit like Autumn in here. It rained during the morning and temperatures dropped a bit, which was nice because I was able to put on a cardigan instead of just leaving the apartment in short sleeves. We went to eat at a restaurant about 30 minutes away from here, in an area closer to the Pyrenees in which Autumn seemed to be way more advanced than in here (that's where the photo was taken). I ate a delicious salad with goat cheese, nuts and strawberries!

In the morning I went to vote. They're regional elections but they're also plebiscitary ones, in the sense that from the result will depend if Catalonia keeps being part of Spain or not (I voted pro independence, which I don't think is a secret in here anymore by now). In any case I won't make a long post about it or anything like that, because I like this LJ to stay free of politics, and because I don't think that anybody is interested in the internal stuff of this country.

Yesterday I spent the day doing essays, catching up on laundry and also removing the dead flowers from the balcony, since I don't think that by now they're going to bloom again. I left all the herbs and the stuff that survives winter, but most of the seasonal flowers (like petunias) I removed them already.

Tomorrow [livejournal.com profile] evilblacksheep arrives! She'll spend five days here, and I'm really looking forward to it. So in case I'm quieter than usual, you know the reason :)

I've done a pretty big friends cut. I've removed basically two type of journals:

A - People who despite being active and posting on their LJs on a regular basis haven't commented on my LJ in the past months. What I understand from that situation is that they're not interested in what I have to say and they're bored with my posts and probably skipping them, so I don't really see the point. We all look for different things in LJ and I totally understand that, but what I come here for is interaction and I don't really see the point of unidirectional friendship :(

B - LJs that have been innactive for a long time now (months, even years).

If you are in situation A and you want to stay please send me a PM and tell me the reasons why you're never commenting yet you'd like to stay. I don't mind to give it a try if you really want to be here, but if you just want to add more people to your flist to gain comments and you're not interested in my life then I'm not the person you're looking for.

If you're in situation B and you still read this let me know! If I haven't removed you before is because we were close (or we still stay in common in other social sites). I don't mind to keep you here if we're talking in other places like twitter or facebook :)

I'm doing a friends cut at the moment. I hate to do one when my last friends cut was only two months ago, but sadly I feel that there's people in my flist I'm not interacting with, and I don't feel comfy sharing my private thoughts with them.

I'm cuting:

- People who never comment on my posts. Or who never reply when I leave a comment on their LJ. Or both (which is the point really?)

- People whose entries I skip because I feel I'm not interested at all (not everything has to be other people's fault, right?).

- People who are not active (they don't post, or they post only once per month).

I'm sorry if I cut you, I really wish it had worked :( I'm not going to say that it wasn't personal because sadly those things always are, but for me LJ is about interaction and if it doesn't happen there's no need in forcing it.
Fanmix made for [livejournal.com profile] jjverse
It's my first fanmix ever, so comments are very appreciated :)
